It replaces both the “A (21119-025)” and “B (21119-019)” units used on the 1974-1976 Kawasaki H1E, H1F, KH500 models. Often decals show numbers: X6T 31371 (A unit) and X6T 31571 (B unit).Our combined CDI unit features highly effective arc quenching circuitry to reduce flashover on the distributor. Unlike the original ‘B’ unit, (which was little more than a 300 Ohm resistor straight to ground) our design directs far more of the spark energy to the spark plug.Plug and play part, does not require the separate smaller unit to be connected.One year warranty from date of purchase.Made in EnglandNote: This ignition system is an extremely unusual design. Once running, it’s very reliable, but it can be tricky to get working correctly. Correct set-up is vital: source windings must be to spec, the distributor clean with good brushes, and ignition timing set exactly as per the shop manual. We recommend setting the rotor to pick-up clearance to the smallest gap allowed.Remember a new CDI unit is only one part of the system. If fitting a replacement unit doesn’t cure the fault, or changes the symptoms, other ageing components may need repair or replacement, especially on systems over 20 years old.
